VSD STARTERE PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS

  • Some pump systems require priming.
  • This feature comes standard with all our products. This enables the system to prime for a pre-set time. The solenoid connection point is located at the terminal strip with a black wire and a red wire numbered 102. The output to the solenoid is 220 VAC.
  • This feature comes standard with all our products. This enables the system to fill the pipeline gradually at a pre-set speed and time.
  • This feature comes standard with all our products. Upon commissioning of the system the engineer will note the current with a closed inlet valve. The dry pump protection will be set at closed valve current plus 5% and the time at 0-60 seconds depending on the pump type and model. When a under current is detected for more than the set time, the pump will stop and indicate “UNDER CURRENT” in the history table.
  • This feature comes standard with all our products. Upon commissioning of the system the engineer will set the current limit equal to the motor full load current. This will ensure that the vsd output current will never exceed the maximum output current of the motor, giving you pin point accuracy on your motor protection.
  • This feature comes standard with all our products. This is a very handy digital input. The input needs to be activated in order for the system to run. If the input is opened while the pump is running, the vsd will speed down and speed up when closed. If the input is removed for more than 30 seconds the vsd will be stopped. If closed after 30 seconds the pump will initiate a start with priming (if selected) and pipe filling.
  • Any external device with a potential free contact can be connected, like a gsm modem to remotely start and stop the system or float ball to control a dam level, even a rain sensor to pause the irrigation cycle.
  • There are seven available pressure settings, this can be used to control seven different pressures with the touch of a button. The system will run at whichever pressure was selected. This enables you to optimize your irrigation, and to deliver only the necessary pressure to a specific field or irrigation block, without the use of a pressure regulating valve. The vsd is equipped with seven relay outputs, one for each pressure or field that in turn can open the specific field valve.
  • There are seven available irrigation programs. Each program has a starting time, day or days of the week, the selected field or pressure and the stop time. This enables you to program up to 49 schedules per week.
  • Controlling pressure is dependant on a pressure signal. This comes from the pressure transducer. In the unlikely event of a transducer failure, the pump can still run. Emergency mode on the screen can be selected an you can start the pump. Priming and pipe filling ( if selected) are still active and a desired peed can also be selected, giving you control and versatility.
  • With a high efficiency of 97% and the ability to control pressure, using only the power that is needed to perform at a certain pressure makes this a must have with an average payback of 9 to 14 months.
  • If you are on one of the following tariff structures RURAFLEX, WEPS, MEGAFLEX and MINIFLEX it is important to know that.
  • This system allows you to choose in what time of use your pump will run. There are three selections namely: Off Peak – the system will run only during Off Peak times, Off Peak & Standard – the system will run during Off Peak and Standard times. The last selection is Continuous – the pump will run regardless the time of use.
  • The system was developed with functionality and ease of use in mind, with all indications and buttons available at the touch of a button.
  • The event history logs every action with a time and date stamp. The data is stored in the internal memory and can not be altered or deleted, giving you peace of mind and the ability to following up on your irrigation schedule.
